I am born in 1957. I began painting in 1991 at an artist club nearby. For nearly ten years I had training from professional artists, and learned how to make oil paintings in an impressionist style. Then I switched to acrylic paint and my work became more and more expressionist and abstract. In 2002 I was asked to give painting lessons to beginning members of the club, which I did with great enthusiasm.
2010 was a turning point for my artworks. I won second price in a Dutch contest for amateur artists. The price consisted of contacts with professional artists and a coach. They stimulated me to begin abstract and then look for images in the painting I was creating. Dingen 2019 I am following a 2-Year course into visual arts.
