Artist's Statement
As a painter I am interested in making the work of the soul more visible and real, enriching our everyday lives. It is in these moments when our soul speaks to us in a quiet, perhaps even a silent voice - wielding great power and influence at both a conscious and unconscious level. It is worthy to note that in this endeavor one learns that - the perception of all great beauty always has an element of "strangeness" and in its expression is an opportunity to truly know the perfection of all creation. Painting is a universal language and its truths are accessible to all who view an image regardless of culture, nationality, age, language or status in life. The paintbrush is a tool that crosses cultures, breaks boundaries and grants access and connections that are not available through any other means. In my work as a painter I seek expression and a deeper knowledge of these issues and in that pursuit a profound experience of being intensely alive. It is here that one’s life has resonance within our innermost being, knowing the intense rapture of life. By following our passion and our bliss and by being willing to enter the "underground", we find paths that have been there all the while, waiting for each of us. The life we live becomes the life we should be living and one has the opportunity to know the fire of passion and the continuing renewal of the life within. On this wondrous path, being an artist makes me become an instrument of story telling, spirituality, faith, seeing, knowing, exploration and celebration.

The best in original art, pop art, modern art, sculpture and abstract paintings. Large paintings using deep colors, texture and bold lines that create a relaxed state of mind. Elwira Pioro was born in 1973 in Kielce, Poland. She now lives in Arlington Heights IL, where she mainly focuses on creating. Her passion for art began at a young age. As a child she was surrounded by art, dance and music but didn't start focusing on creating formal art until a few years ago. Early on her creativity came in the form of small charcoal sketches and watercolors, some of which where selected to be permanent fixtures in the school she attended. As a young adult she gained experience on both sides of the easel acting as a figure model and studio assistant for her Aunt, who is a very established fine artist in Germany, Russia and Poland. This is when Elwira first started bringing her emotions and unique vision to canvas. During the few years of recovery following brain surgery, Elwira discovered her need to experiment with texture and methods of expressing erosion and bringing a vintage feel to her work. Doing so became a holistic venture as she found that painting aided in the healing process. Elwira was given the opportunity to work in the studio of pop artist Tom Fedro for the last few years where she set her foundation as an artist, throughout that time she has focused primarily on mixed media abstracts, now reaching the level of professional artist and is being collected on an international scale. Today, Elwira's work is a mix of styles, ranging from sleek and contemporary to weathered and organic. She brings a subtle and sophisticated feel to her paintings through a unique balance of color, composition and texture.
