Artist's Statement

I am 40 years old and have painted on and off for some fifteen years.

I used to paint as a way of relaxing or de-stressing when i was going through an emotional time My earlier paintings reflect this.
Now i paint more for the sheer joy it gives me.I like a challenge when i paint but when i paint it is from the heart. I like to create emotion in my paintings usualy an emotion i am feeling at that time. I want the viewer to get emotional and feel what i am feeling. I paint everything as i am yet to find a subject that i want to concentrate on. There is so much beauty in the world! Having said that i do like to try and capture an emotion using the human form.
