Artist's Statement

Implied realism is what I call my art. The nuance of brush strokes and paint build up sets it apart from just realism. I strive to give it character and lasting appeal so that each time one looks at it, various subtle details show anew.

My subjects are often real places painstakingly analyzed to isolate the essence of the scene while eliminating the clutter that interferes with the statment of my artistic vision.

Styles and trends come and go but time and again, history shows that beautiful images executed in a realistic manner last forever while much contemporay art falls by the wayside once it no longer matches the couch colours or room decor trend.
