Artist's Statement

As an abstract artist I immerse myself in the adventure of painting. Surrendering to the materiality of the paint, my work is a constant playful experiment. I love to spend time in nature, soaking in the sky, ocean, light and colour, and although it is from these experiences that most my paintings evolve, it is the material quailties of the paint, my ability as an artist to control and manipluate it that is the major comcern of my art practice.
