I’m a kinetic sculptor specializing in mobiles. I make handmade mobiles, large custom-made mobiles, 3D printed mobiles and kinetic sculptures.

Ever since I came across Alexander Calder‘s mobiles at the National Gallery of Art fourteen years ago, I’ve been fascinated with mobiles. At first I tried my hand at minimalistic wire mobiles. After receiving several requests for larger custom mobiles, what started as a hobby turned into a full-time occupation. Since then, I’ve designed and made a wide variety of retail mobiles, large custom mobiles, 3D printed mobiles (which appear to be the first fully 3D printed ones in the world), and kinetic sculptures.

My work has been featured at New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park, the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC, and at commercial spaces, galleries, art shops, and (of course) private residences. I’ve contributed articles about mobiles for several publications such as Houzz and Make Magazine, and the 3D printed mobiles have been featured in Gestalten’s “Printing Things – Visions and Essentials for 3D Printing”.

I was born in Chicago and grew up in Switzerland. After New York City and Portland, Oregon, I now live in Richmond, Virginia with my wife and our two boys, where I work out of a work shop in the heart of the arts district.
