Orit was born in Israel to a family of artists. Her grandfather was an impressionist painter who influenced her greatly. His landscapes of the Mediterranean Sea and the rolling hills of the Sharon region are a continual inspiration to her. She immigrated to the United States in her teens where she continued to take in impressions of art by regularly attending museums in Minneapolis and in her travels around the country and Europe.
Orit earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota, where she learned interior architectural rendering and perspective drawing. She is a licensed, practicing commercial interior designer. She has enrolled in drawing and painting courses both in Israel and the States and is currently a fellow at the Crealdé School of Art in Winter Park, Florida, where she studies figurative drawing and painting and explores various mediums and styles. She also produces plein air pastel paintings around Orlando and Winter Park, interpreting her surrounding environment through her unique hand.
