Artist comment about this artwork: "Of all the beautiful sites seen during my visit to Alaska I would have to say that Glacier Bay exceeded expectations more than any other It was a panoramic explosion of natural beauty and history that I think could challenge any other place on earth The first view from your cabin verandah although stunning does not compare to the experience once you are on the ships deck and take in the full impact of this wonder of nature No matter which direction that you look there are amazing sites to see and stories to be told From the huge chunks of blue ice from the calving glaciers crashing into the seafoam green water to the black bear playing along the shore From the humpback whale frolicking in the bay to the majestic golden eagle perched on a floating block of ice just enjoying the sun From the sculptured landscape carved by a glacier that has been retreating for thousands of years to the awe-inspiring affect of the morning sun on the towering alpine peaks Sites that I personally will never forget ".
Art by the Artist Jerry Sauls From Saint Johns, United States

Art and the natural world have been the driving forces that have shaped Jerry’s life and career. Self-taught, Jerry can not remember a time when he wasn’t painting, studying art and the great artists, or developing an affinity and never-ending infatuation with the phenomenal beauty of nature.

Since the early eighties, Jerry has been exhibiting and selling his artwork, gaining both success and recognition as his work became known. In July of 1999, this success finally enabled him to leave his job as a Computer Applications Manager and Systems Analyst, and devote himself full time to his artistic career. His first task was to build a home to accommodate his lifestyle, with a studio and gallery to exhibit his work. Next, Jerry used his experience in the field of information systems technology to design and develop a website to promote his work (

Always seeking inspiration and development of his skills, Jerry has traveled extensively. His work includes studies from the Hawaiian Islands, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Europe, Alaska and America.

Collectors of Jerry Sauls’ work appreciate the fine detail, perspective and imaginative use of light simulation with which he portrays an innate understanding of his chosen subjects.
