Artist comment about this artwork: "Scribe is a revolution of the Trattistic endeavorwalking through Rome I chance upon the Trattisti There at the base of the Spanish Steps they painted with enthusiasm and passion beckoning me to join them I put down my travel bag and take up a brush The paint is seductive as I begin my marks No Stop they gestured I had instinctively curved my line We are the Trattisti they proclaimed The lines they needed to be straight I succumbed to their pressure and altered my style to conform to their edict I was one with the Trattisti and slept with them in their abandoned warehouse that night close to the railroad station where they debated a socialists right to free electricity in their domain I smiled inwardly wondering if they will also make the Italian government draw a straight line Later that night our natural hunger over stepped the boundaries of rigid doctrine We travelled on scooters weaving and curving through traffic looking for pizza and a glass of wine This journey is but an instant in the cause and effect of the automatic line paintings before you".
