Artist comment about this artwork: "This is an original acrylic and mixed media painting on board I repurposed the board from an old dilapidated shelf The background is a custom wood stain The next layer consists of vintage book clippings The subject a deathflower is rendered in acrylic paint The deathflower is emerging from a bone textured with acrylic paint The border is made of leather scraps I found amongst the remains of the defunct Portland motorcycle shop Cycle Hub I textured the leather with acrylic paint and added tacks to give the appearance of stitches This piece has D rings mounted to the back and is ready to hangNote Parts of the edge were trimmed from the main photograph during editing Aside from cropping the images have not been altered or enhanced in any wayI am available for commissions and custom work and I am open to payment plans Feel free to contact me if you have any questions suggestions or collaborative ideas".
