Art by the Artist Lydia Sheridan From Manly vale, Australia

Lydia Sheridan was born and raised in Ireland and is now based in Sydney, Australia. Lydia has showcased her pieces in a number of exhibitions worldwide and has had exhibitions across Sydney, Melbourne, London and Ireland. Her inspiration and aim is to capture the expressions of humanity and fragility of life through pencil, paint and pen.
Lydia specialises in personal commissioned portraiture and her work can be found in a myriad of public and private art collections both in Sydney and abroad.
At the age of 16, Lydia won a scholarship to study at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland and furthered her study at the the National Art School in Sydney, Australia.
In 2010, she was invited to hold a solo exhibition in the private manor of Lady Molly Cusak-Smith – a prominent figure in the Irish history of fox hunting. This launched her portraiture status in Ireland and the UK.
In Ireland, she has had the privilege to draw for a number of famous musicians, including members of The Saw Doctors, The Funeral Suits, Dan Trayers, Elaine Mai, and a number of traditional music players.
In London, she was commissioned by electronic artist Graham Sindon to paint several works.
In Sydney, she had the privilege to draw the Indonesian consultant and his wife, the late Roland S Howard from The Birthday Party and a number of other music artists. She has also had the honour of drawing the renowned American tattoo artist Freddy Corbin.
After creating over 300 artworks, Lydia aspires to continue to produce larger than life pieces of depth, imagination and love.
