Artist comment about this artwork: "One of the most fantastic experiences I ever had was snorkelling in the Caribbean I loved looking at the view around me out of the water which is always breath-taking itself along with sounds of reggae and chickens and kids having fun and then putting my head underwater where a whole other world is also busy being gorgeous It was like swimming in art and I felt like a god floating over a reef and watching how the light waves fish coral and currents interact like a giant ballet I tried to capture this a little with this painting".

I did my art foundation course at Chelsea and my fine art degree course at Brighton completing in 1982.

I am not arty, deep, mysterious, messed up, young, ‘emerging’ or remotely likely to get famous – I just like painting. I am inspired by music, cake and practically anything I look at. I plan to pretend I am dead at some point in order to sell more paintings.

My goal is to a) create beautiful paintings that uplift and make people happy and b) help other people do the same. I sometimes succeed, I sometimes don't - but it is a good goal and it keeps me out of mischief (kind of).
