Sandy Lindblad, a Grass Valley contemporary pet portrait artist, has a unique style between impressionism/expressionism. In the 80s Sandy painted “Western” paintings and sold them at street fairs. As time went on, about 5 years ago her business, “Lindblad Studios”, was born. She now creates with passion, animals in a colorful, expressionistic manner, catching the feeling of people's pets in her paintings. Using pastels and acrylics, Sandy enjoys seeing the animals come alive on canvas or board.
Since childhood, Sandy has always drawn and painted cats, dogs and farm animals. She now is regularly commissioned to create forever paintings of peoples’ pets in art. Each year her business is almost doubling, and now selling all over the United States. Her art can also be found at Auburn Old Town Gallery (Auburn), Artists Collaborative Gallery (Old Sacramento). She's thrilled to be able to create that forever painting, using clients photos and her own.
