In 1974 I left Munich's “Technische Universität” with a degree in architecture. I left
Germany 1 day after graduation. In Canada I worked as architectural mercenary
to support my real life as hippy-homesteader, fisherman, bush pilot and tourist guide.
None of these efforts led to enlightenment. In 1993 I opened my own
architectural practice in Whitehorse, Yukon, and have since practiced architecture
there, in Italy, Romania and now in southern British Columbia, where the weather is
warmer than in the Yukon. I am still looking for illumination.
My painting is part of this search.
