Working Girl has a BFA in photography and an MFA in sculpture. She is interested in combining photography with painting using layering and overlays and printing on photographic rag paper to achieve imagery that evokes painterly surfaces. She utilizes cinematic, panoramic landscapes and monumental architecture, visually conflating these two subjects into one.
Some recent exhibitions include: Occupy Museums at the Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum of American Art, NY, NY; Nature, Nurture, Torture, Sala Jesús Gallardo, Instituto de Cultura de León, León, Mexico; Numinous Inscriptions during the annual city-wide video festival “Loop” in Barcelona, Spain; This Side of Paradise, Fotofest and Houston Center for Photography, Houston, TX; ArtSpace, at the CAA Conference in New York City.
In recent years, Working Girl received an artist residency in Cesis, Latvia and received an Idea Fund Grant (funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts).
