I have been painting in oils for over 15 years. My work has evolved from simple still life, inspired by the Dutch Old Masters, to include trompe l'oeil. Also, I've been doing many small paintings - landscapes and assorted subject matter- that I call little jewels. These paintings have all the wonderful attributes of the larger, more complicated ones, but are easier to fit into a collection. I've always been captivated by detailed, lifelike paintings and am so happy to be painting what I love; whether it's dollar bills or a horse portrait, if I have a brush in hand, I'm happy! Just recently, I completed a week with the very talented trompe artist Jay Davenport and am now very excited about getting on with projects I've had in mind. Check back often!
